What’s FLV?
Flash Video (FLV) is a file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player (initially produced by Macromedia) versions 6–10. Until version 9 update 2 of the Flash Player, Flash Video referred to a proprietary file format, having the extension FLV. Notable users of the Flash Video format include YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo! Video, Reuters.com, metacafe, and many other news providers.

Expand the “Output” panel. Use the “Browse” button to select an output directory.
Step 6: Click “Start” to Rip DVD to FLV on Mac.

Lately, Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac has updated to V1.9.1.8 with more output formats available, but the price remains unchanged: $49.00.
The new output formats added this time are:
New video outputs: WMV, DV, F4V, TS
New audio outputs: WMA, Au, AIFF, FLAC, CAF, SD2
WMV and WMA are compressed video and audio file formats for several proprietary codecs developed by Microsoft. Many users has a Mac and a PC, they need to convert DVD to WMV or WAV on Mac for playback on Mac.
Digital Video (DV) is a digital video format created by Sony, JVC, Panasonic and other video camera producers. Video in DV format is always in high definition.
